At Simge Play Therapy, we are specialized therapists who have been working with children, adolescents and their families for many years. Our mission is to develop and offer training methods based on ethical ideals and scientific-based criteria, for our improvement and that of our colleagues in the field; to provide the support for our young clients to learn values & skills that can help them on their academic and personal journeys, and to inspire the use of ‘play therapy’ among other developmental and educational psychology professionals.
Our greatest motivation has always been to learn, and our passion to use what is learned to effectively help those in need; our valued teachers, supervisors and mentors have since expanded this institution’s goals and meaning. We have crossed paths with many respected colleagues and shared ideas, excitement and the motivation to improve the lives of children with special needs. An important goal of ours has always been to support aspiring developmental & educational psychologists, and to help create universally high professional standards and a ‘common language’ between members of the field. For the sake of improving the futures of many children, we have always valued clear communication and the sharing of information between professionals. We have also sought to expand the academic understanding of the benefits of play therapy, and to increase its use among colleagues with different insights and approaches to truly make the best of this valuable method.
The team, composed of: Psych. Play and EMDR Therapist Layza Ovadya, M.A, Psych. Play and EMDR Therapist Selin Kasuto, M.A and Psych. Psychodrama Play and EMDR Therapist Sonnur Öztürk, M.A has a wide variety of education and experience from domestic and international institutions, and organizes the implementation of our therapeutic and educational methods. Approaching twenty years as a practice, the Ekipnormarazon Child, Adolescent and Family Counseling Center team has brought a new dimension into the field as specialists in the application and study of play therapy, as well as other more widely practiced methods. We are happy and proud to offer our services, and thereby help children in need in Turkey and beyond.
